Who doesn’t like a good class?
At LearningTigers, we keep our classes as interactive as possible to gain students’ engagement and their interest to rejoining the classes weeks after weeks. Tutors who do that normally get good reviews from parents and this will in turn increase the students count in the class and maintain their continuity in the classes going forward.
All classes are taught using zoom. To learn how to join the class as a teacher, please visit this tutorial.
Remember to turn on your camera and encourage your students to turn on their camera as well.
You may refer to this structure that we drafted, you may adapt or change it to your style. Every educator is unique and that’s how we like it on the platform. The guide below is just one of many ways to conduct your classes.
First 1-2 minutes
Welcome and Greetings. If you are waiting for students to attend the classes, please do not wait for more than 1-2 minutes to ensure that we don’t lose time. Reminders are sent to the students/parents to remind them of the classes.
Next 3-4 minutes
Introduction of the lesson and Subject Format / Quick recap of last week’s lesson
Next X minutes
Content with student engagement (Reading and Answering the questions from materials). Give student exercises to complete and discussion + Q&A Session
Last 5-10 minutes
If possible, prepare some games before hand with Blooket or Quizzes to test students’ understanding and engagement for the lesson of the day. For classes that require physical movement (cooking, martial arts, board games, etc), you may also create a challenge between yourself and students, or even between students to have some fun.
If you are not familiar with Blooket yet, here is the introduction to Blooket.
