How To Attend / Teach A Class

(How do I navigate to teach the classes)

Congratulations! When you are at this stage, it means that you are either being assigned a class or have created a class on your own (and approved). 

This is how you can find the classes that you will teach under your Teacher’s Dashboard. 

Step by Step:

1. As a teacher, you will be at the Teacher’s Dashboard once you login. 

2. On top of the Dashboard page, please click My Classes.

         

3. Under My Classes, you will see the classes that you have. You may go to Active Classes to see all approved classes, or classes that have been assigned to you. 

          

4. You may click the name of the class or click View Details to view the class that you would be teaching.

5. For a new class, if the minimum number of students in the class has not been met, the lessons for the class will not be generated. It will show “No data available in table” as below.

             

6. At the same time, there will be an announcement on your Dashboard informing you that the lesson is not created due to the minimum number of students not met. You can also view all announcements via the Announcement page as shown in Item 2 above.

7. When the minimum number of students is met, then lessons for the class will be generated automatically. An example is shown below.

         

8. Once the lessons are generated, you may upload your teaching materials by clicking View Material.

9. To attend the lesson to teach, click Join Class. The features in the live class are similar to Zoom. Note that:
   • • Join Class button can only be clicked 15 minutes before the class. 
   • • Attendance can be viewed after the class is completed.

We do not encourage educators to cancel class on a regular basis as that would affect his or her reputation. However, we understand that there are emergencies that cannot be avoided from time to time. Hence, there is a Cancel Class feature where teachers can inform the students about the lesson being canceled. 

 

Every class or lesson cancellation must have a valid reason which will be announced to the parents and students along with the lesson cancellation notice or announcement.

Due to tight schedule of students in group classes, it is very unlikely to organized for replacement for cancelled classes. Therefore, it is advisable to keep the original time of the scheduled classes if at all possible.
